Sealed weight is a randomly drawn weight - nearest catch weight wins the prize.

HAC is heaviest aggregate catch (heaviest bag)

Used to be a sh!tpipe about 50 - 100 yards south of the blocks at Dene Holme. It's not there anymore (at least I've never seen it since I was a young lad). As a rough guide, if you are level with Becketts Bank you are out of bounds

Thanks for that info mate being bus'y with pre-reg day (1 day and counting with pre-reg club house + shop sales there are 221 entries up till now)

It's a busy weekend Geordie. I remember when I was heavily involved with the club back in the Clifford House days, the weigh in my first year was up at the Knack, year after Sea Angler did a roadshow at the Open and we were up at the leisure centre. Start first thing in the morning and get finished late on the Sunday; there's not many realise how much work goes in to a well run Open like Seaham.

Hope you get a good turn out and a healthy weigh in.

I mate only fished a few times there but been recommended to me any other shots near by mate

All them marks along that way are better with a bit sea on, as is the ryhope and hendon area

Just checked the forecast again, the forecast was giving 10mph south easterlies earlier, now its giving 25 mph Southerly starting around midnight so it might be worth a chuck

There were no fish on the prom, 6 in the target, my mates dad had a 5 pounder out of man holes, one 4lb along seaham somehwere, hossack supposedly

Duno if out bigger than that caught

It's was very quiet on blast beach, saw 2 come in early on and a couple towards the end. I onlyhad 1 undersized codling. Crabs were eating quicker than the fish!
