That was dire today, I went to Hendon hoping to sneak a Flounder out and endured 5 biteless hours in the freezing cold.

80% of the members do fish the pier when its available as we have women ,juniors, and disabled member who can't walk a grate distance with out transport and we try our best to make it as fair as possible for everyone.
We used to have roving comps and it got abused with some folks bringing bin liner fulls of flounders back to the scales from river marks which soon wipes the local population of fish out. Also they would travel stupid distances for wrass .doggies etc which is not good for fishing in general so we put up with the bad months and look forward to the good ones.
