Runnydown?????????

Do you lads up North call fresh blacks, runnydown also?
I thought it was only the salted down and frozen blacks that were called runnydown??
Still what do I know being a brainless smoggie :o :o ;)
 
always wonderd what runny was until a bloke gave me a couple up at blyth beach,big long flat things bout 10\" id say ,looked like theyd been soaked in something disgusting

I think its only frozen lug thats called Runnydown,IMO.
 
BIG worms though Alan and a good cocktail bait ,handy if you fancy a chuck and you can\'t get fresh stuff ,I haven\'t tried eating them yet but they smell like good bait lol.
 
suppose you pay £1.80 for fresh,might use two or three a chuck,probably not a bad price if you think about it
 
My understanding is runnydown is black lug that is nicked at the head and the guts squeezed out to be slightly salted and frozen , hence runnydown .
 
Yep....runnydown = black lug which has been gutted & frozen

Fresh black lug is just known as....ermmmm.....fresh black lug :P
