Rod advice

Looking into buying a 2nd hand rod prob in about a months time after my hols, and I'm looking to shortlist 2 or 3, for when I'm scouring the Web.

Looking for a decent fixed spool rod that's not going to break the bank, and is going to get me a bit extra distance

I'm in no rush for one as i only get out once maybe twice a month, I just need 2 or 3 contenders to search for when I'm ready

Cheers

Hi you might want to add what type of ground you fish etc

Hi, I've got a Fox Matrix Surf around the 16ft in length. Casts 3-7oz and can really put a lead out a long way and yet retains good bite detection. It's well used but the blank is sound. Check out the reviews on them. I think they were around the £250 mark new. Only Looking for £60 as I just don't use it enough.

the fixed spool anyfish anywhere sixandbait is a good rod, and easily handle mixed ground, around £150 new or £70-£100 second hand

Have a Daiwa Supercast 13ft on offer, almost brand new.

Set up for Fixed Spool. Only getting rid of it as I got a Yuki Q7 as a christmas pressie from the wife and kids. Decent mixed ground rod (don't think I'd use it on heavy) and it casts well.
