I headed down to the Tyne for an evening session last night fishing over high water. It was overcast as I left the house but the forcast said rain later so I put on my waterproofs. When I arrived it was busy and all the best marks were taken (bloody school holidays
) so I set up on the corner between the two call center buildings. I pulled in a flounder first cast 27cm. I thought this could be a good start to a canny session but it wasn't to be and I had nowt for the next three hours. The heavens opened the wind got up and the rain came down persistently for the rest of the session. Just as I was thinking of packing up I caught another flounder slightly larger than the last one at 29cm then a short while later a third but very small one. I fished for another hour but with nothing biting and the rain pounding off my hood I decided to call it a day. So the final score was three flounders. All caught on rag.
