Fished the Call Center last night. I arrived about 7.30pm and there were lads fishing all the way along to the ferry landing so I set up about half way along the first call center building. A lad I spoke to who was fishing Codgers Corner said he'd only had one flatty all day and was just about to pack up so he gave me some of his leftover mackeral. That was cool as I hadn't brought any mackie with me and I ended up catching my first two fish with it
So if you are on this forum mate thanks very much for the bait much appreciated.
I was off to a good start and had four fish on my first three casts - a canny coley, a titchy tiny whiting then a double shot of a whiting and a dab on my two hook flapper. It made me wonder why I hadn't fished the call center for so long as it used to be one of my favourite marks but I've been mainly fishing further down around Brighams/Cobles and had forgotten how well the call center can fish. Anyway, high water and darkness arrived and it went quiet for a while then I got a nice flounder then later another coley and a tommie. So a canny session - seven fish and five species three of which I needed for the species hunt
Fish caught on rag, raw prawn and mackeral. I had squid too but as usual nothing was taking it.
