You've picked the date Casting at NESA's on Neil! I'll still fish it like. Loads of flatties being caught over there at the mo so should be good craic.

Just sorted my box out at as well. Nice and organised now! ;)

anybody up for it.?. going by the catch reports it will be a good day out. the weather looks good too.......

Definitely fishing this one - looks good over there at the moment! Going across with Youngsteve & know of several others going as well.

Gary :)

I'd imagine it's the usual rules - a spare rod with running line is allowed, but only one may be used at a time with terminal tackle attached. Spare baited traces allowed, as far as I know no ban on beads & spoons etc - any fish caught must be measured & released before the next cast is retrieved.

I'm sure Neil will correct me if I'm wrong.

Looks like there's going to be some serious competition at this one!

so a can pre bait and only cast out my second rod once the fish from my first rod has been measured and released?

also do i need to take a ruler / tape? or do the officials only need them?

as for competition:D a cannit wait and got a good feeling and a few secret techniques that a recon will pay off!!:o:D;)

You can have pre-baited traces ready to go, but not attached to your spare rod - only one fully set up rod at a time is allowed. You'll want a proper match measure (or else you'll be scrounging off your neighbouring peg all the time!) & it's always good to have a couple of pens with you for filling in your card, as one always seems to go astray.

Think it's a 2 hook limit on traces as well.

Just realized I missed something from your last post - you can change rigs and cast out your next trace after bringing in fish straight away, but you must measure and release your fish before reeling this one in, ie. you can't have two rigs with fish on at your feet and a third one in the water.

Hope that's clear, don't think there are too many other rules, I'd imagine that as there is a better stamp of flatties over there at the moment that the minimum size will be 20cm - all will be made clear at the sign-in before the match starts.
