So far this season I've fished Burrowhead, Port William, Garlieston and the Isle of Whithorn and had nothing but doggies, jumping on the hooks two at a time lol but it was a bit early for other species. Also a couple of small pollock float fishing with a strip of frozen sandeel. During one session my big rod was pulled out of the stand and the hook bitten cleanly off so suspect it was a tope or conger.

Anyone heading this way and needing frozen bait just turn right off the A75 at Newton Stewart and there's a tackle shop on your left a few hundred yards down the road. They have a good selection of frozen baits and usually have fresh this time of year.
