Very early days but if my trip to Northern Norway goes well in July 2012 then I am planning on a trip next year end of July early Aug 2013 to Hasvik or maybe back to Arnoy if it was really good this year.

The trip I have sorted for 2012 was not as ad as I thought to organise and that was helped by the three lads joining me who have all got stuck in to the small but important details of travel, flights, rod tubes etc

Anyway like I say its early days but would be looking to book maybe November time for myself and 3 others, It will be boating only, cost all in will be around £1200 per person for 7 fishing days with boat and 8 nights.

Shocked not much interest in this one, guess will know Better by season end if i feel its worth going back :)

Well by the sounds of it Richy m8 it sounds fantastic but its not for me nowadays as it would cost a lot more for me in insurance and what ive seen in posts gone by the fishing is terrific in Norway as i would give an arm and a leg just to have a good crack at it but if you do go m8 enjoy and good luck to you and whoever goes with you.:cool::cool:

aye rich, there was a similar post on bsa, i dont think there was much response there either,im hanging my hat on shetland producing the goods in 2013:):)

I think we're all just too depressed about the weather and lack of home fishing at the moment Rich. Maybe when there's been a few trips out and a few catch reports posted it will spur people on for the next step :)

Well i hope to have a good report this year from Norway, if it is poor i wont be back but will try again if it was spoilt with the weather that cnat be helped

wished i had a few bob i wud luv to gan ower for a trip "coddy gans to norway" :D but a can only but dream ..unless me lotto numbers come up soon :)

Well i have wanted to go since i was about 11 and i have done hot summer holidays year in year out and after a couple of days its almost forgot about then the tann goes 2 weeks later, would spend about £400 on the hol then £600 spending money so i thought what the hell for an extra £300ish i will do something different and maybe just maybe catch something that i will think about and talk about for years, if it does not work out then its a case of been, seen and done it.

I still picture the first congar i caught, first skate battle, first wrecking trip and even my first trout on a fly but i cant tell you much about last years holiday to Kos apart from it was hot :)

Hi Rich

Really interested in your trip, to be honest I assumed you would have plenty of takers so did not respond, would be happy to have a chat with you about it if you are still looking at putting a party together. Like you it is somewhere I have always wanted to experience but never had the chance.

Let me know if you still need a crew!!

Cheers

Dave

I will be seeing howthis trip goes fishing wise, sorting it out it was not that bad once the endless reading on locations/flights and that was done.

Will update in July as you often need to book almost a year ahead to the main couple of spots, we got the last week from June to last week in Aug when we booked back in Oct

Sounds good, look forward to seeing all the pics on here when you go this year!!

Give me shout if you need to fill a space on the next one!!

Hi, myself and Lynn may well be interested, as we have looked at it before, but it doesn't work with 2 people, as all chalets seem to be for 4 people. Out of interest, what do you do with the fish that you don't return? If you wanted to take some home, how do you go about that? I assume it would cost a fortune taking them back on the plane, even filleted. Not suggesting we would want to take home shed loads, just some for the freezer, as we do love our deep fried fish and chips!

Let me know please.

Thanks...................Mark

You can take 15kilo of fillets per person back, alot of lads pay for an extra case between the 4 of them, fill it with food for the trip over and fill it with fish fillets and ice packs for the trip back.

For me i dont eat fish so will be putting it all back. All the deals work out best for 4 people, £1300 covers everything from boat, flights, transfers, food, boat fuel, parking the lot for us lot going this year.

Thanks for that mate. That's a lot of fillets!

Will definitely look into it more, be really interested to hear how you get on.

Well after a great trip to Norway in 2012 i have just confirmed my booking for a new location further north towards the Russian boarder with some lads off here, once the seaon ends i will be counting the days until we go away again.

For anyone thinking of going all i can say is its not as easy as people make out, you have to work hard and find the fish but when you find them, 20's-30's and bigger can be caught every drop, give you and example, the 1st day we got there we hit a shoal and with in 25mins we had boated 13 cod from 16lb-42lb now thats fishing..it maybe alot of travel it maybe the price of 2 weeks in the sun but boy its worth it if you get the weather like we did.

If anyone wants any help for 2013 on sorting a trip please just ask, i spent months reading up and doing my home work to organise a trip for 4 of us, alot of pressure but i feel it went well and all bases covered.
