This is a 2 leg competition held with one match north of the Tyne and one south of the Tyne. The combined number of fish points earned over both legs deciding the winner. Points are awarded as per the SAMF scoring chart with everything over 18cm scoring points.

1st Leg fished at South Shields on Sunday 22nd Dec in windy conditions over a high tide with verŷ few fish caught.
S.Foster 68points.
D.Nevin 66pts

2nd Leg fished at Blyth Pier Sunday 29th Dec. Weather was ok at first but rapidly built up to strong winds and rain. The end of the pier produced the most fish with Dave Nevin bagging up with 8 fish including some good size Whiting, codling and dabs for a combined total of 276 points making Dave this years holder of the trophy. Well done.
