well not posted for a while so here goes!! today has been booked for a few weeks now and with the weather forecast to change for the worst with rain and wind expected after such a lovely weekend i thought here we go again

Anyway we set off early with a view of exploring and trying new things\spots and set up on the rocks at Craster nothing happening after half a dozen good crab baits, eventually i had one that got hung up but nothing much. So we hiked up to dunstanburgh castle what a treck with a few stone of lead on ya back and three rods and 6 reels, oh and a few cows that looked to be interested in me , anyway fished into the deep water at the back of the castle fantastic scenery and very deep water. However floats, spinning and good crab baits attracted a big fat 0.

Time for the beach part of our mission, embleton beach after the hike back to Craster then car to Embelton. We were all confident that we would get a few flatties to save the blank. First cast double and single shots and thats how it went, eventually ending with over 30 flatties between the three of us within 2.45 hrs not bad and a couple of very cute turbot among them. All in all a fab and most enjoyable day with no rain and with us all finishing with red heeds, those weather men :yltype::yltype::rolleyes:

couple of pic's :)
