I headed out of amble 0630 ish on fri in thick fog headed out to the farne deeps i wanted to try my downrigger out never got to tgeres always next time so i tried the wrecks in the area it was a wash out 2 whiting and a herring all day i was going to overnight it in the kettle area of the farnes but the fog spoilt it sp headed home . Sat i headed to the ground around beadnell area and what a difference a day makes caught all day even in slack water end up with dab,pouting,pollock,mackerel,ling,cod what a lovely day even the dilphins put a show on for me. Tight lines

Nice to chat to you yesterday on the pontoon.

You certainly did better than us. We were late out after having finally attached the replacement wiper. We did wrecks to start and then marks such as Craster Skeers, Craster reef and Seaton. Only on 1 wreck did we have any sizeable ling, but the biggest codling was only 4.5lb There were even whiting, and it's been many years since I caught a whiting from the boat. We even missed the dolphins!

But it was a really beautiful day, and the evening light was spectacular
