Plan was for an early start this morning however changed to this afternoon to fish the last of the ebb which seemed more auspicious with wind and tide together for anchoring . Some canny swells coming in which made for an interesting paddle out and back in however quite comfortable at anchor .

I anchored in 26ft on a drop off behind the reefs with Jeff and Mark in 30ft , Simon on his second session anchored further downtide .

Fish came almost immediately on lug fished on a single flowing trace while I set up second rod with a flapper baited with lug/mussel on bottom hook and squid on other .

Best cod came to the squid bait

Simon did really well on only his second sess in the yak in not ideal conditions , anchored up and caught a few cod enjoying the experience .

Needs some practice on landing technique been there done it :D

Few in the tankwell to keep the wolf from the door :D

Cracking session in good company got to be init to win it ;)

Nice fishing lads and it's good to see a report at this time of year.

You’ll soon have the hang of surfing a kayak, then you’ll be heading out into the bigger seas just for that.
