Well I dared to ask the wife for another session tonight and with her being full of cold I got the nod. Even better was I bumped into a mate I hadn't seen since the summer whilst down the prom with the bairn so we arranged a catch up whilst fishing. Flat sea, no fish or bites apart from Micks rockling. Then from nowhere wallop this fat pig joined the party, weighed at shore 3.7 kg which Mick converted for me to pounds 8.14lb so beat my PB by half an ounce. Then nothing after.

Me and mick understood that that 3.7 kg was 8.1 pounds not 8.14 onz obviously, it just comes out 8.14 on calculator meaning it was a smidge over 8.1 and beating my previous best of 8.1

Cheers Im very pleased as I've had a terrible November and December trying to find fish. Fish took 5 fresh lug tipped off with 2 muscle.

Reminds me of my PB cod, mine being slightly smaller than yours.

To be really pedantic 3.7kg is actually 8lb 2oz 8dr (to the nearest dram) not 8.25lb as stated above, which is 8lb 4oz.

2.2lb to each Kilo, 3.7kg = 8.14lb

sorry mat i have got it wrong. just trying get you better fish , some one just checked it for me an am wrong sorry , but as mick said forget about maths it is a good fish
