does any body ever catch anything from cullernose point? fished it a few times and I won't be going back plus all the reports i read on the place are all the same, small coalies!!. Has any one actually had anything decent out of there? WELL DONE ON THE PB MATE.

Reckon it's the most over rated mark ! Pity cos it's five mins drive from my caravan. And handy in the summer! Saves the trek to Dunstanbrough !!

It fishes best off the point half down to half up and distance can pay off as there,s a big hole around 100yds straight off the front.
Don,t bother when the sea is running S East, its best with a northerly swell but it can be dangerous.
As for bait, nowt beats a single big White worm.

Well done on pb mate and good post with good info.
Cullernose is a crap mark IMO, don't think I'll ever fish it again. It's popular as it's an easy access mark, easy fishing, and nice scenery, especially in summer. All I've ever had there are small flatties and coalies and that's all I've seen others catch.
