hi davem cheers for the welcome. i launch from the yaucht club at hartlepool you have got to be a member though membership is about 145 squid i also store my boat there for 114 squid.

Had a look at the yacht club website and it looks intresting as an alternative to the slip inside the marina.

Over what range of the tide is the slipway usable?

I might look into keeping the boat at the yacht club and launch from their. Wonder what the security is like.

I\'ve not been so keen on some staff at the marina lately, they don\'t seem interested unless your a posh yacht and then you get called Sir .

martin the security is pretty good electric fence all the way round the compound, and you get a key fob for the gates when you join. if the gate is open when you get there you can get in but when it closes you have no way of getting out without a fob.
