Welcome to NESA Graham. If you need to get to know the shore marks, just get hold of a copy of Stores book \" The Codling Crouch\" that gives you all the info you need and a lot more.

Hi Graham,
Glad you decided to join in ;)

You do realise that you are now eligible to fish for the SOUTH team in the Tyne Challenge Trophy, don\'t you ?.........lol ;)

Oh......and don\'t forget........there\'s the NESA Winter Shore Comp next month (see the RNLI forum for details if you\'re interested) ;)

Hi, Graham
I think you and your mate went through the lock on the way out at the same time as us that day, it was chocca block, just about fitted us all in. Not been out lately, been to rough.

Martin.

Hi cod69 :)

Welcome to the forum. Bit late I know but I have been busy. I also launch at hartlepool \"elsie may 6\" . Hope to see you tere some dya.

I did not realise so many on here launched there. I bought the annual launch permit and the minute I payed they stopped me launching in the marina...have to use the outer slip which kind of defeats the object of paying for a marina launch.

I have just bought a tractor that fits in the back of my van so will be reconsidering the launching next year as I would bet money on the fact the price will go up by 30 or 40 % next year. Seems any beach is now available :)

Will look out for you guys and give you a shout on channel 8.

Does anyone here launch from seaburn beach as that seems to be the way I head almost every trip and It would cut the fuel costs if I launched directly there.

Marina slip is dodgy if the water level falls as there\'s a big step which your trailer can drop off. Outer slip is at least sheltered from a lot of wind which makes recovery in particular less fraught.

Yep, that inner slip has a big drop off, but as long as you only reverse to the line of bricks I have never had a problem. The outer slip dries out 2 1/2 hours either side of tide which is rather inconvenient. However I notice they introduced a no small boats two hours eiher side of low tide \"to conserve water\"...or is this a way to force slip users to the outer slip?

Seems that in one year Hartlepool Marina has gone from an easy all tides launch for trailled boats, to one where you may as we use a public slip and save a fortune.
