Matty,
I know the MFA Dual Zoom has come in for a bit of stick fom some quarters, but I\'ve had mine for 2 years and never had a problem with it (and for the price...I think it\'s great value, especially if you go for the complete kit - rechargable battery, etc.) . It\'s not one of the more recent LED versions, so I can\'t comment on them.
Ofcourse you could go down the Spelio, Tiga, Samalite, etc road (as others will, no doubt suggest) and I\'ve got no doubts that they ARE better headtorches - BUT they come at a price.
The pricees of spare bulbs, etc should also be considered and the MFA replacement bulbs are VERY affordable.

I\'ve got the Nightsearcher version of the MFA Dual Zoom. Same price I think but the connector between the battery and the headlamp cable is very substantial. There\'s no way it could work loose.

Thanks Tony & Mike Ill think I will give them a go then all I will have to worry about is catching a fish lol chrs Matty.

Following Matty\'s problem on Saturday night a couple of the lads mentioned a cheap light as a back-up. Went into Wilkinsons and got what is called a diving headlamp for £3.99. Takes 2 AA batteries has an elastic headstrap and tiltable head. GIves a good beam of light which no doubt won\'t last a full on session of proper fishing but is so small it is definately not going to take up much space in the bottom of a box or rucksack. It will be enough to keep you baiting up and fishing. Most of all just might get you out of a spot of bother if your lamp fails.

further to the above got me out of bother when the fuses blew tonight and luckily it was left in the cupboard. it\'s making it\'s money already.
