bit of a last minute one, didn't get out till after 2. Passed Norman between the piers on his way back in. water like chocolate with all the run off coming down the river so wasn't hopeful, even a mile out the water was still chocolate brown

mackeral madness, couldn't through the feckers with daylites, so stuck to just an orange pirk, unbaited, on a wee bit of a wreck just outside the piers ;)

cod every drift, but as always was upstaged by the bairn who just missed out on her first double figure cod, back in just after 4 but managed 16 cod and dozens of mackeral, nearly all my cod were just size and put back but the bairns put me to shame again, holly's just over 9lb finn's just under 6. kept 5 fish in total and a couple of dozen mackeral, half of which are now hot smoked, the other half are in the cold smoker for tomorrow

aye, was a family afternoon out even got wor lass out with us, thought it would make a change her for to gut fish at sea for once

Only one thing better than catching, and thats seeing others catch as a result of your tuition. Nice one Mark.

Great to see the kids really enjoying themselves. Just started boat fishing this year with my own boat and trying to get my kids interested seeing the enjoyment on these young ones faces might just be the insparation :thumbup:

Looking forward to your catch reports and those of your kids too, as has been said on here many times mind, they will show you how to do it lol. Make sure you get them some good life jackets too. Much better safe than sorry.
