Mull of Galloway bound today

Heading over to our Clashwhannon caravan today for about a week. Will be casting a line in anger for the first time this year - bass being the target.

It will be lure fishing though as that is what pulls my string these days. Will report back if I catch or not.

Back in Whitley Bay now for a couple of weeks and never wet a line on the trip I am afraid to say !!!! Had planned to bass fish on the last couple of days but sods law - "tweaked" my back whilst doing a repair job under the caravan so dared not risk fishing.

Oh well I intend our next trip over to be an extended one so will be bass fishing to the max.

Ha ha,that will be the day. She prefers the peace and quiet when I am NOT in the caravan and out fishing.

Dorothy does like to fish herself on occasions though and has caught a few wrasse and pollack over on the Mull of Galloway. She will not go to "scrambley" marks though so that rules out most of them !!!! She has had a few goes for bass in Luce Bay but to no avail yet. Will try and put her onto one this summer though.

Looking a bit to future but we are heading back to Australia later this year for another 3 month trip. I/we will be fishing to the max on this holiday as our daughter has moved to within 100 yds of the beach and there is also a great tidal lagoon nearby.

Have amassed a lot of fishing gear over there in our 4 trips so far. Every time we go I take more stuff. As usual will be wedging my reports onto here. Got some good ozzie fishing mates over there and have got 4 boat trips lined up so far.

Bring it on. Lets get this summer and more Luce Bay bass out of the way first though !!
