juliogeordio - a couple of lads i know started doing it and I thought it was a crcacking idea....boat fishing without the expense and getting fit at the same time..

I bought my boat from anglersafloat which is a website for kayak fishing...have a look.

If you want to have a bash at it there are loads of lads up here doing it now and I am sure one would have a spare yak you could have a go of one day.

I would not like to see anyone have to pay to fish anywhere god knows its expensive enough for tackle bait and in some cases parking as well,if one council started to charge all would follow because of the current financial situation they seem to be clawing money back from where ever they can from who they can.
A few £ is a bit more bait to some of us that struggle to keep fishing.
I have only fished Blyth a few times during winter a long time ago so never came across any Chavs as they did not exist then.
Are there any no litter signs up in those areas if not the council should put them up, yea I know the Chavs would take no notice of them but if even one of them did its better than none.
For those who want to throw them into the water and possibly drowned them or better still put them put them in your car boot take them out in the country take their shoes and clothes off put a dress on them and let them find their way home, is it really worth it as you could end up in jail

charging someone for using a pier is a bit of a joke to be fair....like one lads said if one pier does this others will follow....also i love how that if someone hasnt got the best gear or is having a smoke whilst fishing is then classed as charva HA.......

its true, or if you wear tracksuit or jogger bottoms. I do from time to time, there more comfortable to stand around in than jeans or whatever and on a nice day there cooler to wear. Just a shame a lot of people judge you before they speak to you

a "charva" to me is described and defined by their attitude and constant "herrrrreeeee yeeee" attitude to life, if someone judges you wearing a certain pair of pants, they're either . A) very feminine and too fashion concious, or B) stereotypical, whos better at the end of the day ?

who cares what you wear when you go fishing ? As long as your attitude is up to scratch does it matter ?

Phil

Anyone casting a missile at anyone is a total ignorant idiot in my opinion
Its sad but its the times we live in.
This Post has turned into another Chav post lets not forget its about paying or not paying to fish a pier.:)

Total idiots steve, you should have paddled round to the harbour side ladder and climbed up and decked him although not great idea in your line of work lol

juliogeordio, as steve says there are quite a few of us getting out in blyth / Whitley bay areas, will try and remember to pm you when next out so you can pop down to look at yaks etc

Cheers
Neil

i think there gearing up to close the pier and just need a reason to do so take a look at the fences and barriers now a couple more on the pier would do the trick. jamcod
