Went out today, needed a good run to get some juice into my dead battery. Steamed out of sunderland at 9am, headed down to seaham had a few long drifts, only 1 bite.
Tried a couple wrecks again nothing, steamed down to hawthorn, same old story.
So i put the hammer down and headed back towards sunderland, had a few drifts got 1 tiny codling so i shot back into the marina.

The only positive i can take from today is that i got some charge into my battery as the fishing was awful.
Was looking at going tomorrow, but i will not be going far as it is going to get quite costly.

Well i am out tomora and hope for a couple.

Your right about the cost, the fuel is just going silly in 7 years the fuel has gone up from 42p per ltr upto £1.17p per ltr, still it is a hobby so cant think that way..i rather spend it not catching that wake up with a bad head £80 lighter and not remember :)

There was a few boats around the can at 7 tonight so someone will know how it's fishing. Hopefully it's better than Sunday was with mostly small fish on the rough ground and close-by wrecks. JFK seems to have had more sucess turning right out the river.
