longer rod for fixed spool/braid in the rough stuff

ive had a penn twin tip but looking for a 2 section rod,tried the afaw 15ft 6nbait but not that keen on it,ive bought a c14-14000 ,filled 2 spools with braid (53lb and 66 lb),got 80lb on my opus bull.i was going to buy the new t1000 but want to see what others would recommend and have used rather then dive in for the t1000 as it is a lot to spend if I don't like it.i know the afaw big beach is one that's used on Yorkshire coast ,anyone used one with fixed spool and braid ?.what else should I look into first before I spend on the t1000
 
Ive got 2 big beach mk2 s and find them brilliant with fixed spool and braid. They work best reel up. Another good one is the lt bullet or cm crest. Powerful rods but with just the right amount of give to cushion the braid leader.

I like to fish reel down,would the big beach work ok ?
