Would members of The Longbenton & Seaton Burn Sea Angling Club note that the club is holding its annual general meeting on Thursday 1 November at The Northumberland Arms (upstairs function room) West Allotment, and all members are most welcome to attend. Come along and see what is going on in your club. Meet for 7.30pm start. A free buffet is to be provided. New members are always welcome to join the club with annual fees only £10 for seniors and £5 for juniors and retired - nothing more to pay. Each year the club organises 48 daytime league and pleasure matches fishing on Tynemouth Pier (12 Saturdays + 12 Sundays + 12 Thursdays + 12 Wednesdays) and a roving nighthawk league during the autumn/winter months. An annual weekend away (usually to Portpatrick) is also organised as well as regular social activities. The club meets 7.30pm the first Thursday of each month at The Northumberland Arms, West Allotment. Club chairman is Billy Brown of Billy's Fishing Tackle, North Shields. Club Website - Home
