Is it possible to get the tackle shops to join together around the coast to do a generic letter that anglers can sign to be passed on to each shops local MP and DEFRA stating our concerns with regard the licence?

well i signed one petition is there anymore to sign or is it going to be like everything else in this country lambs to the slaughter ,you get nowt without a fight

Its not necessarily all done and dusted, likely but not inevitable.

We have over three months to tell defra what we want. Thats the whole point of the current consultation.

Yeah you sign an e petioin but the current consultation goes way beyond that.

10 questions and answers to them all are not compulsary...fairly easy to reply. Tell defra you wont pay a license not us here on the forum

Alternatively tell em you would consider paying a license IF you see following improvements...

That is exactly the kind of feedback Defra want. The "angling representatives" have had there say...now defra want to hear the anglers comments.

Dave2005 Had my reply from DEFRA ,Amble Sea Angling Club is now a stakeholder and will represent our members views in and around our part of Northumberland. It's a start, hope to arrange that talk from yourself and combine it with the consultation questions in the new year, will speak to Red5 and see if his club would be interested in coming along. Still no view from our MP, will try more letters.

The next step is to form a reply that the club members agree with.

The reply does not need to be in untill March 31st so plenty of time to discuss it at a meeting.
