Haven't been into Simons since the winter season pretty much ended...one thing that's put me off is the parking meters around that way now...what's the craic? are they s*** hot on snidey parking round there these days?

is there a meter - how much we talking?

any info/help appreciated

Here mate, talk about sh*t hot, I've just posted on the chat section about an experience I had today at Tynemouth. Have a read.

1p a minute whilst if you were lucky enough to be in there 1 minute is quite literally pennies...but we all know things can take a little longer at times...it's not the shops fault but the Council that have turned all of central Whitley Bay into a fudging car park to try and pay for sea front renovations that they should have done years ago when the going was good instead of paying themselves fat salaries

I actually begrudge it if I'm honest - but will no doubt pay it in future

I prefer the meters charging a penny a minute when you know you're just going to be popping in briefly to somewhere, it's when you go into Newcastle or to any of the Hospitals and get hit for daft amounts that narks me. Got utterly crippled in the wallet one day at the Freeman a couple of years back when I had to take one of the bairns in, same at Wansbeck each time we go.

Don't mind spending 10p (or so) parking charge to use this tackle shop, as personally I find it 'quality'
Not their fault the greedy authorities want to 'extort' as many penies as they can from 'joe public' !!!!

don't get me wrong I will pay it - I just totally begrudge it, it actually makes me angry in fact

Haven't been into Lewis' for a while and that's more down to the fact I haven't done any shore fishing since the end of Feb :red:

aim to do some flatty bashing and maybe some spinning/floating in the next few weeks so will need some fresh bait at some point...

Just got back from Sunderland hospital and their so desperate to claw every penny they can in that you've got to type yer car reg into the machine which is printed on yer own unique ticket.

How come i pay road tax and council tax and have to pay parking charges surely these two taxes should allow me to park on any council road.

It's a penny a min at the front of the shops machine. 50p an hour (I think)at the machine to the side.

Yer obviously not a clingon then. Agree, good shop and great stock of top gear. Never bought bait there like but it is on display, looks good and you can see what yer getting without asking to see it before handing the coin over.
