Anyone got any of these? Was looking at them last night and they are very reasonably priced and reviews seem spot on. I've got a kompressor ss at the minute and was gonna get one to go along side it. Not sure on which one would be best suited though, cheers lads.

I've just got an ultra power mate, used it twice but really impressed with it so far. Blanked last night with it but caught a tiny whiting last week and even though its rated as a rough ground rod i could still see the bite from a fish less than a lb. :)

I also have the ultra power and can't think of a bad thing to say about it doesn't move in wind u see every little bite and it's very powerful for casting what more do u want for 150 quid it's a great all rounder I'd say mate worth every penny

I bought a icon ultra power 2nd hand it was brand new. £75 and I think it's great. Casts very well and strong enough to handle owt round the north east coast. Money well spent !!! Why spend a fortune.

Depends what ground you are going to be fishing mate.

If its for rough ground ultra power, the power is more of an all-rounder but not as capable in the rough (not as stiff) and the match for clean - mixed.

If its for rough ground the ron thompson axellerator is well worth considering also.

Worth bearing in mind that this and ultra power are animals so if you need to do distance work will take some loading
