Lads...your both right !
I have both, 7, & 14 standard, and rechargable, the 'r' stands for rechargable.
The charger packed up for my 7hr, and I just charge batteries outside the torch, Enloops, and it is just as easy ?( In fact no waiting to charge, so has advantages).
So easy I bought a couple of straight 7h's for home!

The 7 takes AAA
The 14 takes AA
Good buy for somebody...I would get killed if I bought another....maybe ??
