Last of the season

Well this weekend is the last full weekend of the season for me, its be one hell of a windy year but with some amazing catches and amounts of fish landed per day has been special, just never the amount of doublers we have seen in other years.

I hope everyone winters well and comes out fighting next season, if only half these 100s of 3-5lb cod we have had this year make it until next year, we should be in for some fun times with 6-10lbers pulling our lines in 2016.

Last two trips have seen wrecks go very very quite and the mackerel are shoaling up well of shore, all the signs the season is coming to a close...with me not enjoying rough ground fishing its all over soon.

Looks amazing this weekend, big tide but still going off into the sun set in the hope of a late season monster thou not expecting one ha.

I thought on a roll would of been all tucked up for the winter now richy. Good luck for next year pal, hope it's just as good as it's been this year. Really enjoyed the times I've been out this year. Just wish we could get some settled weather in our summers. Were you out on Wednesday? Thought I seen you as I was on my way out.

Yer i was out Wed, been doing a mid week trip each week and then the weekend (when wind lets me)

No she is not away yet as still taken a few fish from the wrecks but last 3 trips out have seen the fish per man drop about 70%. Prob be out both days this weekend and 1 day next weekend then the following Monday and that will be it for 2015.

Some new records, some wanted some not:-

Most cod in a season

Most pollack in a season

1st ever garfish (pirk 8miles out)

PB UK coalie 5lb 4oz

Least amount of doubles in a season

Windiest season ever
