the orion is a nice rod for clean ground but i prefer the nitra.
but my advice would be to try as many of tour mates rods an see what feels comfortable to you.

The Orion has now been discontinued by Greys but you may still find the odd one in the shops

The Anyfish Anywhere beachcasters are top class

ive just got my 3rd anyfish anywhere rod the 11 foot eastury its like the rest 1st class in all ways easy to cast plenty of power good price

Ask a hundred people and you\'ll get a hundred different answers but I think that you can\'t go wrong with Century rods. The TT Match or even the TT Lite would suffice for clean beaches. We\'re mostly all guilty of fishing too heavy on occasions, 6-8oz beachcasters on a calm nite for catching 1lb whiting. Off a pier with clean ground and no serious tide pull I\'ll often use a TT Ultralite and a 2.5lb TC carp rod.

here.s my ten pence worth i always buy coniflexx nemesis plus rods ive the 2002 slr its slim and very light , jamcod

I\'ll go with ROD-THE-COD on Anyfish rods. I have a 13\'04\" match and it is the dogs danglies for clean ground work or the river at distance.
