Heugh today.3/12/13.

Had some bait left over from Blyth comp so made another visit to my old home town Hartlepool today. Popped into Nets on Mainsforth Terrace and got some lovely rag. Then after popping into see my sister for a coffee went the short distance to the Heugh.
Used two hook flapper with rag and squid and it was a fish a cast. Whiteys and Flounders.
The South West wind picked up and it became uncomfortable but on my last cast got a nice size keeper Codling of about 2-3lb.
Called it a day at 6.30 pm. Thanks to Terry for giving me a hand getting off the pier and also to Ron for some bait he had left over. All in all a very enjoyable afternoon.

Nice busy fishing session Mick. The old girl came up trumps for you. Wish i had gone there. Headed to Hendon for a short session and in 3 hours only had a Rockling and Flounder.

Now I have retired I have really upped the sea fishing. Off to Arbroath next Tuesday for couple of days with my mate-hoping to see some decent Cod.
