Help wanted - Money waiting

Hi Guys....only a week to go before mine and Rod\'s annual visit to Eyemouth. Problem is my wicker basket is now more 60 lb line than it is wicker and I don\'t think it will survive another trip, never mind another winter on the beach. Have tried the internet (not e-bay) looking for stockists, without any real luck and the game fishing shops in the Midlands either don\'t stock them (\"I remember them 10 years ago, mate\") or only stock the small ones. I am resigned, at the minute, to getting one hand crafted, which I don\'t mind but it will obviously not be ready in 7 days.
Anyone any thoughts, contacts, leads I could follow up? The size would need to be approx. 500mm wide x 300mm deep x 300mmhigh

Thanks in anticipation (especially from Eileen as she\'s buying it for my birthday :D )
 
No problem Steve. Yes he joined ages ago but can only use it when the company secretary has the time to turn it on for him :o

Thanks for your time guys. I\'m not keen on using e-bay and the other sites will take more than a week, although I have a craftsman in mind. Might have to esort to the old rucsac.
 
stores i might be able to help you out not sure if we still have it but im sure we got 1 with a hamper a few years ago if we still have it,its yours for free if its any good
 
Tim\'s got one Alan - Rod was in on Monday. Rod reckons Eileen could get more doggers in her purse than the basket in the shop. They\'re all geared for the fly man I suppose........not the rock end dinosaurs :D You were actually my banker Alan. If anyone\'s still got one I thought it would be you, tucked away under your pillow to remind you of them summer evenings up the Goatsies. Rod\'s going to have a go at a repair job - probably end up heavier than buying a box type thing.
Just seen your post Willo - very kind of you but I wouldn\'t take it buckshee - at worst it would be a donation to the RNLI. Let me know.

Might not be exactly what you\'re after, but it might get you through your impending venture North, just until you can source a proper one.........

If this is of any use to you, let me know (the basket, I mean - not the pint......that\'s there for proprtion indications only......lol) - no money involved - you can have it.

David the bottom fell out of mine many moons ago when walking off the harbour with a few fish in it. Mind it was quite old. I then had to get one of those horrible little plastic boxes that you have to empty to wash out. You couldnt just dunk it in the sea with all your gear inside
