fished hartlepool with my pal from 1130 till 430 fished twin steps for the first hour over high tide and had my first sea scorpion (ugly beast) then fished the tide out down parton, i switched to a running ledger with plain and grippers in the hope of a bass, more in hope than expectation really and had nothing after my first cast, should have wemt home after the first cast in hindsight, my biggest catch of the day was the sunburn on the back of my neck lol, nice to fish in some sun after the cold winter

baits used blacks, bluey, no greenys though

Was gunna fish parton this morning early doors but thought against it, glad i didn't now!! Might pop out on Wednesday morning instead.

Know what you mean about the sun burn, been sat in the garden and looking slightly beetroot :red:

hard luck lads might be better when the sun gose down.
we've all had a touch of mad dogs and englishmen today redheads all round

if youd fished the heugh youd have had bites every cast. its carpeted with dabs. in less than 3 hours last friday i had 43 dabs plus theres small codling, whiting, flounders and coalies.

youd of had the sun on your face all day.
