Over the past three years i have noticed the increase of Haddock in my catches mainly over muddy/sand bottoms this year the size of fish has improved no end last week six of us fished a deep water shot the sea was really big some good Codling up to 5lb and the usual Whiting but the Haddock came as a bit of a bonus i also had a lovely Pouting of 2lb the Codling are getting a bit thin on the ground but its letting other species get in. not many bass about this year lets hope they pick up for the summer

Interesting how haddock now been caught in many places along with increased bass numbers say to couple of decades back, only had one decent “codling” this time so far, which was nearly a double and five others under three pound and that’s from October till now but only fish a couple of marks which are rock and blessed with no whiting.
Not complaining and enjoyed every minute which has probably been around sixty hours or so fished.
