hi mick, i have all gear from dry suit buoyancy aid, radio i wear my normal clothes under it, its warm dry and best thing i bought even along with the marine radio in case of trouble i love it going out paddle where you want and normally very good fishing for cod. but wedding stuff means gear has to go.
good also for getting bait where people cant get too:)

i was a bit nerves first couple times but confidence builds the more you go out.

as for fishing gear i just use a cheap yuki rubi with a spinning reel and never let me down. best to use braid though incase of snag's to pull out better.

fish finders are good but u need a half decent one i never bothered as Jeff has his. i do have a cheap one that you can fit in scupper hole but battery's run out fast
