Need some advice

Hi

Ive been following this site for a while now [and very good it is if I may say] although not really posted as it is a long way from my area and type of fishing.One of the things that really stands out though is your charity work-something you fully deserve all credit for.Im sure some of you will know of a mate of mine who has his own website [Macky] on which I am a moderator.Currently we are trying to raise funds to help a young lad who has been struck down with M.E.,and up to now this has mostly been through donations although I am trying to get an auction of unwanted tackle started, but having never done this before I am struggling with ideas of what to do and how best to do it,and so I was hoping you may have some suggestions of how would be the best way to proceed.

I hope you dont mind me posting this but I would be very grateful of any advice you may have.I will post the link to our site,and if you can help suggest what I can do better please do.

I know NESA have raised quite a bit of money by organising competitions. Every ones a winner, good day out, prizes for anglers and money for charity. Loads of graft for them involved though.

As for your fundraising i hope you do well for the young lad

I have deliberately not given you a direct link to it as you might find it best to have a good mooch round the site and find things for yourself An auction sounds like a good idea - we have had success with those, you can never have too much tackle, can you

Thanks for the replies already,Id just like to clarify that the fund raising/auction is being done through Mackys site,its just ideas on how to organise things like dealing with the money,coming up with new ideas for other events etc. that I need help with.
