howld on i think ive just nearly had a bite .... damn water bite or wind ...if theres out on am not sure tho ... but it might be sommit small .. then a crab leaves go when ya near the top of the water :D

Tangled line - bunch of bast*rds
Emaciated whiting - dart
Some wildlife terminology from up here,
Dunter - baby porpoise
Kepsh+te - arctic skua
Paddle hush - lumpsucker
Bear - seal
Lift attendant - undersize crab that keeps getting caught in pots

White horses - when the waves are coming over the top of a pier
The set - Not sure but think it's the slack water between the river flow out and resistance of the tide pushing against it.
Watchie - Pier watchman who hoys yer off when it gets rough.

plunder = a fishing weight
owt deeing = have you caught anything
scratching = using small hooks on a 2 hook flapper
feathers = daylites or hockeyes
eggbeater = fixed spool reel
hendon ray = sanitary towel
