Fished steetly pier last week, mackerel were catching and of course the end was full of idiots, most of them were half p***ed the rest were fully can,t stand up p***ed,after catching mackerel they thought it was great fun to throw the live macky at each other, then one lunatic decided to slice open a freshly cought mackerels belly pull its guts out throw it back in and laugh as the poor animal tried to swim away. I just lost it, pulled my filliting knife out and said to him do you want me to do the same to you , you effing moron, i know it was wrong of me to do that but my blood just boiled.left the pier there and then and swore never to fish that pier again during the summer

totaly agree mate there not botherd about fishing or others should be stopped from going on spoiling it for every1. the pier gone right down the pan shame good fishing on there spesily winter time had some good days on there but dont think ill be on there again.

The ironic thing is the pier is going to go because of people like them who are stealing the metal and other bits off the pier making it unsafe, haven't go a brain cell between them.

That's giving the flies a bad name mate they are the sh!te not the flies. Sorry can't agree about the licence idea though.

at blyth pier i saw them playing football with live macky and chucking them at each other as if putting them in carrier bags still alive wasn't bad enough , mackrel are a noble little fighting fish & like all living creatures deserve respect , these people are the lower form of human beings. good on you for doing what you did i just hope the message got through there thick skulls

It happens all over and its mainly the chav's who have no life why is it that our sport is being destroyed by a bunch of lowlife tossers who think watching an animal die or struggle is fun it just aint right so i don't know about any of you guys but if i see this happening in-front of me i might just take matters into my own hands its time they know how it feels

Like every year this same debate comes up and it's right no matter what pier Blyth, Roker, ields etc the same goes on. I'm just gutted with my job I can't show my disgust anymore but there's been a few times I've had to leave when at boiling point. This is also when I would agree to the license but also as long as it was policed properly
