Extreme fishing at Kettleness Whitby way

Me. Mad rob. Outcast Chris. Happydays Taff and Richie the joker headed to Kettleness with some advice from pippen Moore
Set off at 8.30 with cart. Fresh crab. Blacks. Sandeel. Muscle. Rag and makki between us
Got there and looked over the cliff towards the mark called the fingers looked mint the realised that the only way down the cliffs was the ropes we were told about tell you what if your scared of heights don't bother going lol

We all got down safely and headed to our mark hoping for cod and the chance of a bass

Comp on now £1 a man heaviest fish after 3 casts in came the 1st and only fish of the day falling to the Kettleness king mad rob with a whopping 6oz rockling taking the £5 winnings

Snag city with kelp every where so decided to move walked past rope and tried to climb the mountain ( bad choice ) me rob and Chris climbed and had to match threw bushes nettles blackberries spikes for an hour only to end up going back down honestly Bear grills couldn't of done this

Found the rope and had to climb to the top with all our gear

Eventually got up and headed to Runswick bay and stopping off for a nice pint courtesy of Taff before fishing the bay no fish but flat ground and no snags

Never ever fish there again I'm still out of breath 4 hrs later hopefully have a better session Sunday on ss pier or tynemouth
Lying on the settee now thinking what a bunch of idiots none of us are young lads lol

Unlucky lads, looks like I dodged a bullet with that one. At least you got out and give a new mark a shot even if it wasn't the best. Eyemouth had me knackered today to be honest and that lot looked ten times worse.

Crackin read lads n great pic's too,one thing iv'e learnt over the yrs is if you don't know the mark/venue,get back up the way you came dwnhad a few issues like that meself over the yrs Sounds like a great day out tho boy's..

Pics are good.....not as bad as it looks. Just need to make sure your hands are free, and holding on the rope, you can walk it down slowly.

If you hit it right, some good bass and cod sport can be had......

The rope isnt as bad as it looks but when you go back up you also have the incline straight after the rope then the incline back to the top...its hard work lol

Great report and pics lads, unlucky on the lack of fish with all the graft you put into getting to them marks, but it looks like yas had a cracking day and mad rob is the main man again. lol.
