East and West Tarbet now closed !!!!!

not a surprise in all honesty and don't blame the farmer at all - surprised it took him this long really

pointless venting about the retards that have spoilt it for others as they won't care :(

if i was the farmer i would make everyone pay a deposit this would stop them leaving the rubbish,or the farmer keeps the deposit.

I was going to go up there in july, still will be going and will be offering the farmer a £50.00 deposit, hopefully he will let me camp.

had a report that a group of anglers from Newcastle arrived at the flat rock which was in pristene condition before they came, after they left there was all kings of rubbish and human excrament left, think this could of finally annoyed the farmer enough for him to close the place down. Have to say he has been very patient over the years, even though his services where severely abused. No doubt i will be thanking thsaes idiots in the paper next week, but what would they care, they will just move on. Apprently one got into a tope and he tried to bring it in like you would a cod, yes he lost it.

east and west tarbet this week, steetly pier last week both excellent fishing venues, now non fishing venues, thanks dead heads for your outstanding contributions dedicated to closing great fishing marks down with your mindless, braindead, moronic behaviour a true testament to your extremely low intelligence, but you will never read this comment because you all find the written word a little difficult to understand. [i,d castrate the lot of you]:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

my mates were there last week and stopped in a b&b in drummore they said the place was a total tip and the lads who were camping and left the place a mess were from sunderland

There was one tent down there on Thursday on the west side and a group fishing off the rocks at the entrance to the bay. Just looked over from the top to show the kids where Id been before. My son was interested in a trip back there. Same everywhere, in all walks though now.

a couple a quid a night is fook all i think the farmer wud be better off making a proper site of it decent roads down and flat pitching then charge them decent rates he shud get hes money for hes land and for what hes had to put up with after all its a popular place for fishing but its getting out fished as the years go on but a fair bloke he iz when ive chatted in the past and never been happy about the mess

Its disapointing that people cant tidy up after themselfs, we were there last month and it took 5 mins to tidy up our mess and put the bags in the bin by the lighthouse on our way fishing.

Im not sure the farmer can stop people camping there, although i dont blame him for wanting to , as long as you are responsable the Scottish Outdoor Access Code gives you the right to wild camp almost anywhere in scotland.

He is talking about putting cattle into the field to discourage this. Cattle will just trample any tent.
