Hi lads just picked up one of the above for a tenner. Bought it spare of the moment as I thought itll do one of the younguns in the summer. Question is what sort of rod is it? It seems quite floppy so IM guessin bass or flatty can anyone correct me if im wrong an is it any good ..... Not bothered if its not up ta much for a ten spot like

Mate uses a 12ft one and it's as stiff as ****. Mines an earlier (1998) 13ft one that's as floppy as out but still a very good rod, that's why I asked. There must have been loads of moonraker models made by daiwa back then I guess. Anyway, never heard of a one snapping so you should be OK

Ill take it with me next time out an see how it handles. Think there musta been loads of models like. Its an old one but been re-whipped so someone's had some time for it like.

i wanted a moonraker before...my father in law wont part with his moonraker and can cast out a fair way with his..he paid 40 plus for his 2 yrs back at seaham car booty...u got yourself a bargain there buddy ...

There are millions of models. I got a MoonrakerX about ten years ago after reading about them in Sea Angler. It's a bit floppier than most NE rods but on a clean beach they cast brilliantly and have loads of feel when there's a fish on. Good kit.
