absolutely disgraceful that he is going to get the chop from the England squad, he is the best fly half this country has by far, he showed that against the Barbarians and on Saturday when he got his 20 mins he nearly won the game after an abysmal showing from most of the team including Mike Brown and George Ford, Brown looked a bit dodgy after his bought of concussion and Ford as usual kicked hard won ball back down the oppositions hands so they could run it straight back at them. When Cipriani came on he crossed the gain line, which no England back had done all game which gave the forwards a chance to run at the French instead of running backwards to catch them up, he then scored and was instrumental in the second try, he even made Ford look good when he came on. After his short time on the field he would be my No 1 flyhalf or full back, sorry Mr Lancaster but you have got it wrong, forget about the Johnny Wilkinson fly half stereo type, get the ball kick for position it doesn't work now. And what did Sir Clive Woodward say after the game Cipriani should have been the England fly half for the last six or seven years he is the complete player.

Totally agree i think the kid has suffered because of the pop star girlfriend syndrome throughout his career definitely the best fly half we have i fear for the world cup!
after Saturday we will be lucky to get out of our group and get to the k/o stages

Don't think his defence is up to it compared to some of the guys ahead of him. Yes he has suffered due to a poor attitude in the past and this probably sticks in the mind when people consider him now but even at club level he has been inconsistent. At times he wins matches, at others he loses them. Cipriani is a good player but hardly the saviour of English rugby. If you read the blogs / columns of a lot of ex-pros, most agree with lancasters decision on this one.
he knew what Ford, Farrell, Goode and Brown could do so why didn't he give Ciprani a full game at Fly half and one at full back that wouldhave solved the matter conclusively, then there would be no arguements.
