Been a while since i posted on here due to not remembering my password well here it goes on friday i had a invite to fish on Chris smiths warrior (lorin) for a hour or so after work so we left seaham Marina and where greeted to a lovely silky sea we quickly headed towards easington to a wreck we decided to fish light using just 5oz lures on second drift i hooked into a lovely cod around 10lb mark which instantly gave me the boost i have been needing after some hard sessions we had a few more drifts and no more takes so we decided to drift over a diffrent part of wreck then BANG fish on but this felt totally diffrent to any fish i had felt in my life this had my rod doubled with pressure after what seemed ages colour started to show this was big Chris kindly netted the fish for me and straight away we looked at each other and said this needs to be weighed so we left straight away and made a quick call to Marina to get scales ready .after struggling to find suitable place to hang scales up we had the fish on it weighed 24lb 5oz a new pb for me and biggest of season from seaham i was over the moon . Then today was seahams Marina berth holders comp and Chris again kindly invited me aboard i was still on cloud 9 from fridays trip so this was just a bonus to me we left Marina at 8:30 am and sea was choppy with lazy 2ft swell running we decided to try a deeper wreck so off we went straight away we picked up cod to around 4 or 5 lb Chris was doing better than me then i hooked one around 8lb great i thought then the wind lifted up and the sea started to get nasty so Chris said we will have one more drift then head in .using a 12oz pirk i got hit from a fish and this didnt want to come up it had my rod to near breaking point (20lb class interline)) this was something big again i thought after a canny battle of rod lundges etc colour came again it was a big ling Chris again top netter some how fitted it into the net and fetched it on board an angry looking big ling the sea continued to get worse so we had steady ride back to Marina at the weigh in there was alot of cod and ling brought back but lucky for me nothing looked as big as the one i had then it was my turn i put the ling on scales and it read 21lb 15oz another 20lb fish within 3 days i was gob smacked and another pb i ended up taking first place and set the comp record for heavyest fish i will try to add some pics now but first i want to say huge ,huge thanks to Chris (the jester) for helping me achieve my pbs you are a true mate i wont forget this mate thanks all for reading
