after a walk back to the village and a pie and a hot bovril decided to fish school point, 1st bait in the awter and hooked into a nice fresh looking cod of 1lb 9oz and as one of my mates has been moaning about me not brining him one home for his super decided to keep it.

the rest of the day was off and on with a few decent knocks and even managed a rockling but no more cod. i even tried further sout at the square hole/black hole??? but tackle loss was bad and fell over backwards cracking my elbow on one snap off lol. headed back to the harbour to use up the rest of my bait with only a little knock.

it was canny out with only a small swell and the wind not to bad either:)

Great report, and fantastic pics Mark, Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle are the one place that my wife loves coming along to, just to sit and admire the views whilst I drown a few worms, she loved the pics too, saying the sheep one was brilliant, well done on the fish as well.

Also enjoyed the photos Mark. Do you agree that no matter what the weather's doing, daybreak is always the rawest time of day?

I canny :) canny day out with summit for the table in very nice surroundings, sounds like a crackin day mate well done ;)

Nice one!

Nice one!

Sounds like you had an enjoyable day out and a codling to boot. I like fishing Craster when i get the chance to, Cullernose and Dunstanbrough are nice marks to fish, beautiful part of the world.

Fantastic pics Mark and the fish just tops them off, must have been straight out of the drink looking at the colouring and the fins, well done. Ive tried explaining to our lass how nice some places are at first light and how quiet they are, as usual i got the blank stare!
