Fished tourney from 11-5 today
Toonboymc. Codfather 145. Mad rob. Fishingmark. Young don. The gnome ( Paul) and joe Montgomery ad rob got a nice dab just before the comp started but he is trying to say its a Dover sole lol
It was very windy and you could not detect any bites to be honest but there was plenty of fish caught
1st cast and mark has a crack off lost his gear then he set up again and the wind blew his rod stand over and his rod smashed against the concrete he was having a mare then a coalie he had dropped off as it was coming over the wall
Joe stormed into the lead with a nice double shot of plaice the biggest being 33 cm
Then he got another double shot of plaice what a fella
Then Paul the gnome got a nice plaice of 34 cm and a new species for him which christened his new tip tornado and put him in the lead
Then joe got another plaice of 35 cm putting him back in the lead
Then I got 2 plaice off the belt not as big but a new species for me
Mad rob got a nice pollack on the small rod of about a pound then I got a dragonette
i reeled in and there was something on the end mark looked over its a lobster only for it to drop off coming up the wall with it leaving one of its claws on the hook devostsated i was its my favourite food
Then Codfather pulled in a nice plaice of 38 cm putting him in the lead and which proved to be the winner and giving him £14 winning which will be spent in Tunisia next week lucky bugger
Tourney finished but we fished on mark caught a makki on ragworm to save his blank but Paul the gnome caught his 1st wrasse and his 1st codling of about 1 1/2 lb a nice clean fish
stopped fishing at 7 with the wind still howling away
A great days fishing in bad conditions
Well done to Codfather for winning comp and a big well done to Paul the gnome for a cracking session with 6 different species dab. Plaice. Cod. Coalie. Wrasse and flounder
