On nightshift this week so fishing time limited. Decided to fish claxheugh last of the flood yesterday, fishing was really slow ended up with 6 flounders.
Decided to try my luck again today last 3 hours of flood, what a difference a day makes. Bites from the off and non stop action with the flounders right upto high water, some very good ones amongst them too, got a lovely one 42.5cm and weighed spot on 2lb so well chuffed with that. Tried a light spinning rod out with 20lb braid bite indication using the braid was fantastic and the flounders put up a great fight on the light rod, think i'll be using this setup a lot more for the flats. All fish caught on frozen runnydown and macky, not sure how many fish i had, lost count.

well done. Thought about going up in club comp recently but to much rainwater in river.
Mick.

Its actually been fishing well even when loads of fresh water coming down even when the waters been chocolate although the rubbish coming down the river when theres fresh water coming down is a pain.

Was there last Friday a couple of hours before hight tide till 45 minutes after. Not a sniff.

Nice going and I admit to loving finer tackle when going for flatties. It's more fun and bite detection on a flattie rod is great, supposing you get any.......

Well done on another couple of good sessions there Micky. 2nd day must have been hectic lol. That sure is a nice Flounder too.
