Cambois - Back of the railway houses!

Had a few hours down Cambois tonight, starting just after 17:00! First 3 chucks had 3 fish in the bag within 35 mins. Went dead after that until the start of the flood. Lost a few sets of gear on what I think must be a reef edge,(only seem to lose gear when it's right on low tide), Rod was nearly pulled out of my hand with a good take, hooked it only to lose my gear plus what felt like a good fish.:( Managed another shortly after and that was it. Packed in at 22:00. 2 biggest fish were around the 2.5 - 3lb mark. All caught on Ragworm. 2 lads next to me couldn't touch them using yellowtails, crab, mussel, squid.

Sea was up a bit and dying off actually! That is why I went out last night as the winds are forecast westerly now!

Drive into Cambois past the area where the power station was. At the mini roundabout take the second exit towards the orange Alcan silos, across the railway tracks to the next mini roundabout and take a sharp left with the club on your left and straight on to the end of the houses. I have been parking there and walking to the left and under the tunnel on the right leading to the bank tops. I heard a scary story when I was last fishing there though, that someone had had their tyres slashed on the previous night and some people are parking further towards the Alcan silos away from the houses because of this! My car was OK when I got back thankfully!!
