Got a reply from the publishers yesterday -

\"Dear Mr Storey,
We would love to publish your book blah de blah, please send us a cheque for £9,000........... or £7,000 if you want it in paperback. That means I need to sell 2000 books to get my money back. Can I have a show of hands before I jump in with both feet?

Being realistic I will now choose the print to order option which is \"only\" £1300. Spent last night copying the chapters to one document then trying to convert it to a new pdf file, then trying to get the computer to accept that THERE WAS a CD in the bloody D drive ............then I bought a bottle of Grouse and turned it all off.

Will update you on the horrors of Great Wyrley tomorrow.

£4:50 for hardback £3:50 for paperback or 65p if you print to order

whatever happend to good faith ? itl serve the buggers right if it turns out to be a best seller

Moving house this Friday so on a tight budget at the mo. Give us an idea of retail price and I\'ll have one or two.

Count me in for a couple. Hope you can pull it off. I feel sure that there are many like me who would buy the book. I seem to spent time looking for books with good local knowlage but never can find any.

I suppose it depends on where you class as \"local\" EDO, but if you\'re talkin\' of between North of the Tyne and Eyemouth......there\'s more local knowledge in the book than you can \"shake a stick at\".....as the saying goes.

Lol David.....looks like you\'re gonna have to come up and have a book signing event :P :exclam:

Right then ,as one of the privaliged few to have a copy I have to say ,having just finished reading it for the second time ( in case I missed owt ) .This WILL become a shore fishermans bible for anyone wanting to fish St Abbs /Eyemouth/Burnmouth and tell you what some tips for Tynemouth...god how many times have I walked past those opportunities only to blank at Whitley lol.Can\'t begin to tell you about the personal stuff David mentions ,enthralling to me as a Newcastle lad and shore fisherman ...I\'ll leave it there for now . David check your PMs mate

Great Wyrley Crisis Centre up date - we\'ve finished the Grouse and started on the Jamesons - sorry TC - looks like more investments nearer the date. You are all so kind and supportive the wife has gone for a weep. Whether it\'s because you\'re so kind and supportive or whether it\'s the bills I dread to think. Will be contacting a few others soon so will keep you informed - I appreciate your support but now realise the power SIXFOOTSTEVE and a photocopier can wield lol
