Tidied away the winter gear last night and moved the boat gear to the fore

The desk is now covered in muppets, big muckle hooks and lot's of heavy duty swivelage...

Got some new stuff I want to try this year but first I need to lose all the stuff I've previously bought in bulk :D...

also got 50 8/0 Trebles and no pirks :D...need some lead at some point methinks

Aye Tony, its like christmas in our house at the moment with all the goodies arriving, had a good day today with a new reel delivered (TLD15) and a new main battery for Slinky (went to the wrong house at first but the good lady wife sorted that ... poor man on other end of phone didn't stand a chance :) ). New ugly stik ordered should arrive soon. New mats, mugs, and other odds and ends. literally hundreds of traces made up ready to go, and of course the bucket full of leads (although I still got about 60 on board :) )
Just need a last wash n wax, a test run in the river and a run through the systems and its off we go ...... whoooooo hoooooooo

I recognise that Christmas look; I've had a few toys delivered and another should be on the back of a wagon heading for the RQ tomorrow - at last. Now we just need a break in the weather.

Nice one Kev ... see you at the weekend if the weather holds (not fishing lol just stocking up and tidying :) )

I'll look out for you; I might need someone with a bit of experience of Ocqueteaus to show me around. I guess I can work the kettle if you’re passing though. :-) Then I need to learn to drive again, my last boat had an outboard so inboards are a new game for me. So much to learn and do before the start of the season.

I will be down in the morning both days also, re-fitting the equipment on the boat and having a good check over before firing her up.

I'm very lucky in that Norman is my skipper so it's a private boat

There are a few charters out of the Tyne (if that's your area) The Sarah-JFK being one of the more popular...not sure as to their prices although £30 odd rings a bell - I'm sure someone will come along with better knowledge of the charters than I

hope this helps

There is link on here for all the charters, 2 of the year in year out ones from the Tyne as already mentioned are JFK and the Mistress, both do rough ground and wreck trips weekends and some if no all mid week days.

If you not been in a while you can hire rod and reels.

Wish i could get my hands on 40-50 for a couple of seshes close in, i would be out the next flat weekend. You cant beat it until May then its mackerel number 1 for me :)

Sure a few reports will be in soon from the boats.
