Blyth Pier

Well I decided to give blyth pier another go tonight, got there for approx 11.30pm, on the pier & fishing by midnight, what a night, rain & a poor catch, there was about 6 people fishing the pier , I decided to try my luck just after the bend, two rods out with various baits, not a touch until about 2am, first catch a coalie, then a good size dab, followed by 2 more coalies, then a codling about 2lb, the other lads packed up & left about 3.30am, none had caught anything ! I carried on fishing until 4.45am, then packed up & headed home to ashington, 2 other lads came on as I was leaving, sea was like a mirror, flat calm, wish i'd gone to lynemouth instead, maybe try there tonight !
Baits used tonight, peeler crab, runnydown, fresh mussle, squid, cocktails & seperate, the codling took the fresh mussle tonight !

Well done gundog! You very rarely seem to blank! Me and lolipop were a bit sickened off the other night but will be out tomorrow. Apparently a very big bass was taken from lolipops favourite place other day!

Lynemouth wasn't much cop either mate flat as witch's and very little in the way of sport 1 eel 2 half decent poddlers. A couple of pictures from your favourite

Hmmm not too sure, think you'd end up with something far more exotic than you usually catch off Blyth if you ended up with one of those attached to the end of your rod :red:

Just got in from fishing lynemouth, must have been 20 rods out there tonight, got there for 6.30pm, a bit chat on the way to my spot, 1 lad had a nice bass of 3lb, I ended the night with 4 coalies & 1 codling pound 1/2, my mate had 5 coalies, reports on the beach on the way of were all the same ! coalies, only 5 people left on ther when I left.
